I Know My Workplace Rights!

This online event is open to anyone who identifies as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and is in low-wage/precarious work or soon re-entering the workforce.

There are basic standards of employment conditions that employers must provide in the workplace. As workers who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, we are increasingly vulnerable to precarious and low-wage labour, workplace harassment and discrimination, and other injustices. These injustices aren't just brought on by exploitative labour practices; they are reinforced through homophobia, transphobia and other forms of discrimination and bigotry from employers and the general public.

Join this information session and discussion hosted by the Workers' Action Network and The Quadrangle to learn more about your rights in the workplace under current provincial legislation, pathways for safely addressing issues, and how we can win better working conditions by working together with our coworkers and community in holding employers and government accountable for unjust and discriminatory labour practices.
